Welcome to Westfield, NJ.

This unique and charming pedestrian town has, over the years, earned accolades including the Great American Main Street Award, and was ranked as one of America’s Safest Cities. Westfield was settled in 1720 and continues to maintain a peaceful, colonial feel. The thriving downtown is filled with a variety of retail shops – both national and independent boutiques - and restaurants while maintaining its original charm. The town is attractive to commuters, providing train service to Newark Penn Station via the Raritan Valley line with connections to New York, and is also on a direct bus line to New York City. Westfield’s 30,000 residents take pride in their award-winning public schools (Westfield High School is consistently ranked by New Jersey Monthly as one of the state’s top public schools), large library, community events, numerous sports, and recreation programs.

People and Lifestyle

Westfield is an affluent, suburban town with involved residents. The community has grown in popularity with younger NYC, Hoboken, and Jersey City transplants for its family-friendly appeal and suburban lifestyle. The town provides top-notch schools, competitive sports, and many community-minded opportunities. New residents and long-standing residents alike speak to the warm, welcoming vibe. It is no wonder that so many people who grew up in Westfield, move back as adults.

Downtown Westfield

From clothing and shoe stores to delicious restaurants, you can get it all done without ever leaving town. Westfield boasts a balanced mix of nationally known retail clothing stores such as Athleta and Urban Outfitter, as well as locally owned shops such as Beyond Trends. Go birthday shopping for your kids at Learning Express, or find a special gift at The Life or Farmhouse Store. When you are finished shopping, take some time to relax over a coffee and delicious dessert at one of our many bakeries or specialty shops such as Farinolio or Kirshenbaum, have the best croissant outside of Paris at Victoria’s,  or sit down to a meal at one of our many wonderful restaurants. For a fun girl’s night out, grab a bottle of wine and check out the AR Workshop.
